CHURBURG

Built in the 13th century and reconstructed by the Counts of Trapp in the 16th century to become South Tyrol’s most beautiful renaissance residence, Coira Castle is today one of the best preserved castles. Especially worth seeing are the most important private armour collection of Europe, the Nicolas Chapel with groin vault, the sculpture representing Madonna with the Child of the late Romanesque period and the colonnade of the late Gothic period which was turned into a four-wing loggia in the 16th century.
